3 MONTHS UNTIL MY WEDDING AND I GAINED WEIGHT

Aku nimbang hari ini.
And what the hell..

I gained WEIGHT!!!

Padahal rencana mau ngurangin 2-3 kilo malah NAIK 2-3 kilo! DAN AKU UDAH FITTING!

THIS IS BAD. VERRRY BAD.

I'M 3 MONTHS AWAY TO MY MARRIAGE AND I GAIN WEIGHT INSTEAD!

I mean, it's not like I didn't give any effort. I've finally maintained going to the gym 3 times a week. And I tried using a weight loss app -which sucks. The coach is always late when counting the calories. She said I don't need to worry about the calories as long as I go with the guide, but then what's the use of making the feature in the first place?? They don't have that many food in their library too, so I have to input everything manually MOST of the time. So, I stopped....

Though I do admit it has been a stressful end of the semester for me, so I've been sleeping a little less and eating more. I decided to cut down snacks, and have large meals instead 3 times a day. But, apparently that didn't work well for me.

I've succeeded once. I lost 11 kilos before. And have been considering to go back to how I did it last time. Maybe I should? I mean, it IS pretty urgent.

OK, maybe I should write down some of the to-do list that I'm going to do, starting from today:
1. Drink a lot of water (especially when craving)
2. Gym 3 times a day.
3. Limit rice intake (4 spoons).
4. Only eat 1 fried food a day (better if none at all).
5. NO durians.
6. NO snacking sweets/chocolate (if you want cut down the sweets and eat it in small pieces)
7. For breakfast eat a couple of whole wheat bread/5 white egg.
8. Walk A LOT.

With my 60 kilo weight.... Let's SEE how I'll progress.

Lord, help me to remember that nothing is going to happen today that You and I can't handle together. Cause I really need to be in a good shape. AKU UDAH FITTING :')

A Teacher and a Soon-To-Be-Bride... Who could've guess? (Not ME definitely!)

Wow.

Yes, I'm actually getting married to my long-time boyfriend and it's going to happen this year!

It's been 13 years since I wrote that post! Gilak!

I'm happy to found this blog, sambil geleng-geleng melihat ulah-ulahku dulu. Time does fly. Post terakhir aku ngomong soal Life Talk Asia... I have to update to you at least that I'm no longer working there. Aneh banget ga sih?
Nggak?
Biasa aja?

Karena sebenarnya ini ANEH BANGET even for me!

Walaupun aku emang ga ada nulis cita-citaku sih selama nulis blog ini, tapi yang pasti aku ga pernah membayangkan akan jadi guru, that's for sure.

Gak membayangkan akan hadir di after party graduation mantan murid:

Ini waktu aku jadi Wali Kelas 3SD sekaligus guru Reading, Life Skills & Math (2018)

Ini acara after party Graduation mereka dari tingkat SD (2022)

Gak membayangkan ngajar agama Kristen (and doing it online due to the Pandemic):

So maybe the signs were there? 🙈

It's still pretty mindblowing for me though. So different from what I envisioned for myself. Termasuk nikah di usia 30 tahun. I thought it'd happen sooner. But it didn't and dang it, I'm TOTALLY fine with it!

The surprise proposal on February 13th

...and the Engagement at my house (July 2nd)

And soon I'll also have another mother who will give me her family name, karena begitulah adat Batak. I have the picture, but won't be posting now. Tunggu aja tanggal mainnya nanti ya, Marhori Dingding dulu akhir bulan ini. Siapa sangka coba akhirnya aku bakal menjalani nikah adat? Setelah bertahun lalu aku tulis makalah soal nikah adat di kelas Sosiologi (Yang sampe sekarang aku jg ga inget aku nulis apaan 🤣 biar keren aja aku mention pernah nulis makalahnya dulu.)

Literally NOTHING is going according to plan. But I'm loving every twist and turns. Although there are times when I hate the plot twists, but I still wouldn't want it any other way. After all, God had proved my judgements to be wrong a lot of times, so, why even complain and look back at all the bad times?

Anyway, I still have my mantra at hand, that little prayer I always tell to myself:

Lord, help me to remember that nothing is going to happen today that You and I can't handle together

I Am Second

Aku rasa, aku sudah mulai gila.

Semenjak mulai bekerja di perusahaan ini, Life Talk Asia, aku hampir ga bisa berhenti berpikir serius mengenai this thing called LIFE.

Isn't it time for me to give back?"

Aku melihat kembali rencana-rencanaku. Rencana yang sudah tertata rapi. Rencana yang sudah pasti itu. Rencana yang baik. Tapi aman. I want to show Him my love by giving Him something worthful.

And He did!

He would never let me settle for an "OK".

Cause at the end of the day, when I would always say to myself, "I lived a good life."
He would whisper to me softly, "I want you to have better."

TMGS3 PREMIUM ENGLISH PATCH IS OUT--

...bersamaan dengan waktu gue mulai masuk kerja.

*Sigh*

Just to let you guys know, I'M STILL ALIVE! Yay!

Oh did I mention, English patch buat Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side 3rd Story Premium udah keluar? Yeah, it's for the PSP version of TMGS3. Surprising huh, I thought they'd release the ones for the NDS first, but meh I don't mind, they look way more lively and attractive in the PSP version (secara gitu lho, 2D live!)

( Oh dearest Arashi, I can understand you at last, no more language barrier between us :') terharu )

Click here if you'd like to get your hands on the patch and to learn more about how to patch the game. It's written in the first paragraph of the blog (THANK YOU DEAR YUMIKO FOR THE WONDERFUL NEWS)

And I've been playing the game nonstop ever since. Now I can finally activate the PVP and 3P mode and ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT'S GOING ON!

It's not like I PRETENDED I UNDERSTAND all this time! Pfft, of course I understand just a tiny bit of  JAPANESE. But you know, like, it's more satisfying to play it in a language I'm actually fluent in, DUH!

I'll post more about it later. So ciao people!

"Dear No One, this is your love song"

It's a lyric from Tori Kelly's "Dear No One" single.

This is possibly the theme song for all you hopeful single people out there. Yes, even to you, guys. Meh, maybe not at as feminine as this song seems to be pointing out. But I DO know a guy friend of mine who fits to this kind of sentimentality and melancholic feel (HAHAHA. I know you're reading this, R).

Just so you agree, lemme post the lyrics for ya kay:

I like being independent
Not so much of an investment
No one to tell me what to do
I like being by myself
Don’t gotta entertain anybody else
No one to answer to

But sometimes, I just want somebody to hold
Someone to give me their jacket when its cold
Got that young love even when we’re old
Yeah sometimes, I want someone to grab my hand
Pick me up, pull me close, be my man
I will love you till the end

So if you’re out there I swear to be good to you
But I’m done lookin’, for my future someone
Cause when the time is right
You’ll be here, but for now
Dear no one, this is your love song

I don’t really like big crowds
I tend to shut people out
I like my space, yeah
But I’d love to have a soul mate
God will give him to me someday
& I know it’ll be worth the wait

So if you’re out there I swear to be good to you
But I’m done lookin’, for my future someone
Cause when the time is right
You’ll be here, but for now
Dear no one, this is your love song

But sometimes, I just want somebody to hold
Someone to give me their jacket when its cold
Got that young love even when we’re old
Yeah sometimes, I want someone to grab my hand
Pick me up, pull me close, be my man
I will love you till the end

So if you’re out there I swear to be good to you
But I’m done lookin’, for my future someone
Cause when the time is right
You’ll be here, but for now
Dear no one, this is your love song

Not to be rude, even I can relate to this song. Though mine would be a little forced on since I'm in a long-distance relationship and- you know, the distance! Sometimes it made us LDRs felt like we're half-single, no? Not that kind of desperate half-single though, it's the Half-single but full-of-trust-and-hopeful-that-we'll-be-reunited-someday kind.

"The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green

To all of you DIE-HARD-NOVEL-LOVERS and bookworms out there, you probably have heard about this book.

I got this from my cousin in Amsterdam- who spent her free purchase points to get me this book- & back then I wasn't into reading anymore, especially NOT Teenage drama. Though this book is not just about that ordinary lovey-dovey drama.

It's about a sixteen-year-old patient named Hazel, who has cancer and was forced to go to Support Group by her parents. But then she eventually fell in love with a boy she met in the Support Group which happens to be an ex-basketball player and amputee, named Augustus Waters. Though due to her illness, she realized that she had to limit being involved in this love, cause sooner or later she might be just another heartache to Augustus. Sounds pretty interesting, no?

Unfortunately though, back then I was travelling and was bringing along Murakami's Norwegian Wood and it got me sick because of its unexpected mature content. The fact that it was so... phenomenal to the Japanese got me deciding that MAYBE I wasn't so much into reading anymore.

(If you're wondering what Norwegian Wood is really about, I'll give you a personal review some other time, just- gimme time to take off those images from my mind first.)

I was giving up on reading and buying new novels since I could only enjoy novels I had already bought like Mitch Albom's, Paulo Coelho's or Meg Cabot's. The "New York's Best Selling" title didn't affect me anymore because of my past trauma by Murakami, but still my cousin insisted me to read this and that I won't regret. She convinced me by saying it only took her one day to finish the book and it got her weeping.

Still, I didn't get the time to pick the book up. So for a while, I left it in the bookshelves on top of my bed.

And then the movie trailer of this book came along. I saw it 2 days ago from TheFineBro's "Teen React" and they were all pretty excited about it:

"*GASP!!*  LE BOOK!!"

It's common to see teenage girls getting all giggly,"aaaww" and teary-eyed over the book/trailer since girls are suppose to be more sentimental (HAH! STEREOTYPE-ER!), but even the boys said they were reading the book! So I got curious and finally take a peek on.

And here is the impression I had from reading this book:

( + )
To my surprise, for these last 2 days eventhough I'm busy with my thesis, I couldn't stop reading it once I started. I thought it would be one of those cheesy teenybopper novel, but no, it was even more than that. It has life lessons and deeper emotional understanding that not only teenager, but also adults can adapt. Especially understanding towards people with cancer and what people around them went through. There is this honesty and humanity that Green portrayed in his characters. His narrative, his description, were really SMART. I love how he showed his broad and deeper knowledge, humor and empathy in this whole book. It's easy to see that he really did gave this book a serious thought.

I mean, he even put a thought to titled the book based on one of Shakespeare's famous quote from his play Julius Caesar.

( - )
Though I have to admit some of the words and language he used aren't commonly used, it's not that typical slang you'd find an ordinary teen would be using (in most chick-flicks, by the way). But the sense of vocab intelligence somehow became one of the attractions the book gave. I mean, usually if a word doesn't make that much sense to me, I'd just leave it laying somewhere and eventually forget its whole existence. Yes, that's how low my endurance is. But this book had this... charisma and easy flow that made me want to try harder and it's still surprisingly easy to immerse in it. It again shows the seriousness Green pour out on this book.

Conclusion!
Maybe there really is no downside to this book, just minor difficulties.

Hence, to all you readers who love to have deep thoughts about life, people, humor and love, this book is a complete combination! Its honest narrative and distinctive characters will definitely not fail nor waste your time. Me, for example, couldn't remember the last time I enjoyed reading so much (especially because you, Murakami, ruined it with your writings that emphasizes lust-over-love matter). It felt REALLY nice to have read this book to remind me and restore my faith in humanity and good books.

Soooo... Yes! I'm going to promote this book to YOU LUCKY BLOG-READERS by showing off my selfie with my kitty-like eyes staring intently at you from behind le book (with hopes they would somehow mesmerize and hypnotize you.)

I'd love to know your comments about this book, so feel free to write it on the comments section!

Me and My Otome life :')

It's been quite a long time since I wrote here. Well,  I wouldn't be writing here today if a friend of mine didn't remind me I even have a blog.

Nothing much to say about me, beside the fact that the final exam is coming soon, and we're currently having our one-week-rest before it starts. Though I've been spending a lot of my time at Gloria's house, playing the guitar or just hang out there and brag about my Tokimeki skills.

*sigh*
and to remember that I actually HAVE a boyfriend.
Me and my LDR and my Otome life.

yesh, baby! I'll poke you til you love me!

If I have to analyze myself psychologically, this is how I cope the emptiness I'm feeling. well, I don't see any better alternative, seeing that I myself am already in a relationship, what, would you rather I flirt around?. I mean, c'mon girls, most of you play these kinds of games to feel the emotions right? At least on your first attempt playing these kinds of games, those urgent doki doki feelings are the ones you're trying to achieve right?

and that moment when that guy that you've been chasing for 3 years (of the game) finally comes to the church to make the legend come true...

...and how he (FINALLY!) confess, how much he loves you (though it's kinda obvious throughout the crazy nonstop date calls you're getting) and how you realize that all those years (or literally hours)  you've spent has finally come to its end and it's all worth the time?

 "That's why, come closer."

http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mccyn14KfL1r5r8duo4_250.gif

and when it actually, ends, you have those mix feelings of accomplishment and disappointment.
http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m9r5gaDmnx1qhq4jp.gif

and you kinda wish that.. somehow something magical, would happen to you and suddenly something strange happen to your NDS and you feel like those people in your fantasy starts crawling out to make your dreams come true...

If so, then you must currently be in Disney World!

but no people, those things don't happen in real life.
At the end of the day, this is just a game, a game to help spend your time feeling less lonely, only to make you realize that all good things must come to an end.

But hey, even for a moment, it's still enough, it's enough to cheer you up even for a while.
(Especially if you're a melancholist)
It's a good runaway, for me at least.

And that's how I end up spending so much time playing otome games OVER AND OVER again.

"Mbak, kok kembaliannya segini?"

Senyumnya tampak tulus. Tapi...

Aku sadar Eti mengikuti pandanganku. Segera kujelaskan, "Itu orang. Aneh."

"Kenapa?"

"Daritadi ngeliatin. Senyum-senyum."

"Serem amat."

I'm so sorry Gaby... and yes, satu-satunya hal yang bikin aku menyesal udah hapus itu post karena komennya ikut kehapus doang.

...
...
...

1, 2, 3 GO!!!!

.... I WANT YOUUUUU... I NEED YOUUUU...
(nari-nari ala JKT48)

What could be more fun than... DANCING. along. to. JKT48's. HEAVY. ROTATION!!??? Well nari sayur anak-anaknya Kyary Pamyu Pamyu seru juga sih (PRESS THE LINK YOU WON'T REGRET! Tsah! Tsah!). TAPI INI LOMBA!!! LOMBA YANG AKAN DITONTON SATU KAMPUS!! HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!

Sorry. Aku terlalu bersemangat.  :">

I'm gonna try the dance anyway!

Tokimeki Memorial... in ENGLISH!?

Ada yang tertarik main game Dating Simulation? Dari dulu ya, aku tuh paling semangat tau ga sih kalo udah menyangkut game dating-dating begitu. Hahaha.. mentel abis! Game Dating Simulation pertama yang aku punya itu Tokimeki Memorial 2, yeah yeah, pemeran utamanya cowok, but so what if I'm a girl?? Ga ada bedanya sama main Harvest Moon kita jadi cowok trus nguber-nguber cewek, ngambil2 bunga pink di gunung demi si Poppuri! Tapi nyebelinnya Tokimeki Memorial none of the version is in English! Aaaargh! I'll have to guess the answer by the writings! Sotoy abis!- Sebenarnya agak bodoh dan terdengar desperate -seakan ga laku-laku jadi latihan pacaran dari game-game begituan- but it really helped me on understanding individuality LOL

(What? I'm studying psychology!)

Anyway, baru 2 hari lalu aku download game Tokimeki Memorial 3: Love Plus Girl's Side buat Nintendo DS dan aku langsung mainin tuh game kayak orang gila.

(I know rite, I actually got this homework to make a Response Paper to Willingham's "Why Don't Students Like School?" book and the draft is due tomorrow, instead I lost myself inside this unrealistic dating game!)

Yang bikin semangat lagi, berkat patch dari http://sites.google.com/site/tokimemogs1/ I got to play the game in English! Yeah, yeah, we all know that none of the Tokimeki Memorial are in English, but this is a fan translator! It should be okay as long as we don't put it to sale or rent it! If you have an NDS and you're interested in Dating Simulation games, get a click to that link and take a look at the instruction (Of course, you'll be needing the original .nds game first! Just google it!)

Cheesy banget ga sih main game beginian? Yaaah.. lumayan lah buat isi waktu. Aku udah namatin game nya pagi ini, believe it or not. And dangit I got a stupid ending, I didn't end up with any of the boys (I got into a romantic relationship with Suzuka, but then he dumped me over for this Konno girl that use to be my Best Friend. Ouch!)

I remember that part when me and Miyuki went out and then came this stray dog or something and we had to fight it like in this stupid RPG mode. Yes, with the Health gauge and such. The heck.)

Later I googled if I could find an RPG event on Tokimeki, and see what I found? See? I wasn't lying about the RPG scene! LOL

Namun sayang, ini dari TM 4.

So yeah, that's all for today. I REAAAALLLY should start working on my response paper. To all you English Tokimeki lovers feel free to fill your time with the translated game. Adieu!

Hello College LIFE! (and LDR)

See if you can find me hanging in this crowd

Wow, sure is fun to read what you've written. And I can't believe it's been months since the last time I posted!

SO ANYWAY, I'm a college student now! Yeah, I get to achieve my dream to be able to experience the College atmosphere. I'm currently attending my studies at Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH), majoring Psychology.

Psychology Welcoming 2010

The people at UPH are all nice, not to mention the Seniors. They were all very welcome.
And I got to admit, the way things are in college are VERRRYY different comparing to High School. Eventhough it has less subjects, it's more serious in a whole new level.

So, yeah.

A lot of things had happened here in this 1st Semester. My Gaga-riffic performance at Porank '10 (dang it was wild! wish I had a video of it though), the spiritual experience I gain from Youth Camp 2010 (w/ my beloved roomate, Nicky! Oh how I miss her!), my musical-theatrical debut performance at Taman Ismail Marzuki, the friends I made..

..and I even traded some Christmas Gifts with them last Friday! I got a diary, a Hello Kitty alarm clock, a black watch, a framed photo with a pink mug titled "I'm a gentleman" -heck, I dunno what she meant by giving me a "gentleman" mug, how offending!- and a man-shaped mini electric fan. Right. If you couldn't catch my drift, will post pictures of 'em late-uhhhr.

These are the friends which I traded my gifts with!
From left to right: Me, Esy, Deddy, Irene, Icha & Gloria

The funniest part of College was me being reunited with my Childhood friend, Tasya! Oh we were friends ever since we're in diapers and we're totally inseparable! Well, that was BEFORE her family had to move out for work purposes. Back then we were still in the 1st grade of Elementary School. We don't contact that often ever since. Last time I saw her was when she came over to Pekanbaru to visit her grandparents, but we really didn't know our college targets, we don't share much.

So we totally freak out when we found ourselves in the same University that day. We were like "Tasya?" "Wanda!" and all huggies like the ones you'd saw in the movies.

Right.

But then again, we've reunited!

This is her munching all the food she could afford.
(Sorry, Tasya! Had to post this for entertainment! *smirk*)

And I also get to experience a Long-Distance Relationship with Gby (yeah, I'm still with him! J). But there should be no problem with that right? I mean, Hey, Wanda, you can always go back to Pekanbaru if you want to! I mean your Dad.. works there, right?

Well, FYI, people! My Dad is going to retire SOON. So there will be no longer a chance for me to EVER go back to Pekanbaru, cause we'll all be living right here in Karawaci.

*Sigh*

So glaaad that I was able to meet him before the Finals though. You see, we got a one-week-rest before the Finals and that's when I force myself to fly over to Pekanbaru. For one last look. And one last photobooth picture (one LAST picture in Pekanbaru, of course! I don't want this to be my last photo w/ him!)

me and my dearest Gabriel Frans

Well, that's all the story I could offer to you right now.

Hope you have a blast today, people!
God Bless J

Baby, tweet my life away!

Hey there, long time no blogging. I've been busy twittering lately that I no longer hv a clue what to blog. You knooow, that site where u can read other's status updates and see what they're currently doing in real life.
Sounds like stalking, I know.
But do u know what sucks? Joining this site and u still don't know what ur friends r doing.

Like right now, Siska is out in the sun living the vacation by traveling Java. She told me how Lumpur Lapindo looks like, how drunkers and fags go out at night, or how she got a tan by going out.
Adventure. Pretty exciting huh? Yet, she never tweet any of it cause she didn't make one.

Me?
All I really do since I woke this morning is having Takoyaki and Sushi for breakfast!

..And those are the kinda stuff that I tweeted.
Amusing? Are u kidding me? Well honestly it IS amusing to mee since I'm into Japanese foods. But I don't think it's necessary (did I spelled it right?)

You know, me and Riyan used to talk about this tweet-addict thing, and we used to call people with those syndrom as "tweetwhores".
(No offense yall, if I'm not mistaken, we got that name from NigaHiga, and he himself is a tweetwhore.) Yeaah we use to laugh off stuffs like that, and hey Riyan, I think I've become a tweetwhore recently.

But hey, don't blame me. When you really don't have someone to share the 'interesting' thing, where else would you go? Esp in this loooong after graduate vacation.

Anyway I gotta go now peeps, I reeaaally need to get a life. I mean really, having a Blackberry does absord you're whole life, but Imma enjoy it while I can.

Ciao!

Indonesia : Kapan kami Juara Dunia?

Berempat mereka mempertanyakan fortune mereka dalam World Cup.

Korea Utara : "Kapan kami juara dunia?"
Malaikat : "20 tahun lagi"

Jepang : "Kapan kami juara dunia?"
Malaikat : "21 tahun lagi"

Korea Selatan : "Kapan kami juara dunia?"
Malaikat : "15 tahun lagi"

"Kalau kami kapan, Malaikat?"
Malaikat menatap wajah orang Indonesia dengan seksama. Lalu berbalik pergi sambil menangis..

Papa : Kuno lo (ceritanya)!

I want a Role Model toooo..

Syebel deh.

Barusan waktu lagi asik (baca : nyari cara buat dilet recent post dan liat-liat foto orang) Facebook-an aku didatangin sama Siska lewat chat box. Awalnya dia komentari Profile Picture yg baru ku-upload. Sampai tiba-tiba dia ngasih tau aku kalo dia punya "role model" baru namanya Chanel Iman.

Cewek campuran Africa - Korea. Berkulit sawo dan kurus. Mirip sama postur tubuh si Siska. So I scroll to some of Chanel's photos and thought, "Wuih, enak juga ya punya role model. Jadi bisa contek-contek model bajunya..." And that's when I wanted to have one.
You see I'm not too good at mix and matching. And I know that those kinda skill would be handy karena bisa menghemat pengeluaran (jadinya ga perlu beli baju baru mulu supaya pas sama jins ini ato jaket itu. You know what I mean lah.)

But what the heck?

Aku sama skali ga tau apa nama bentuk badanku.

Skinny?

Hell No.

Plus Size?

You know I ain't that big (though being a Jedi is kinda kewl)

Montok? Blekh. But I googled it anyway. Tapi yang kutemukan sesuai dugaan : Some NSFW articles. You get the whole idea.

I mean this IS what common people looks like. Why can't a Pear shaped body persona like me dress like the skinny modelly ones?

But anyway, I'll just keep looking.

Wish me luck, amigos.

The Man of My Dreams

Prof. W.A.F.J Tumbelaka
(24 April 1920 - Present)
My dearest Grandfather

I can see it clearly that he is a very dedicated doctor.

Opa adalah seorang guru besar kedokteran, belajar di Amsterdam (1955), Kanada (1962), Sri Lanka (1975), dekan FKUI (1970-77), Presiden ASEAN Pedriatic Federation, dan Ketua Majelis Kehormatan Etik Kedokteran IDI (1981). He was a role model dan terdaftar sebagai salah satu Pahlawan Sulawesi Utara di bidang Pendidikan. That's how good he was.

A picture of him I found at the internet

Tapi sewaktu kecil aku ga pernah melihatnya lebih dari seorang Opa yang baik, lembut.. and a very gentleman. I remember walking into the dining room one night. Dopey, anjing Opa & Oma, datang trus langsung loncatin aku! Back then I was still scared of big dogs, apalagi anjing-anjing di rumah Opa-Oma suka gong2 smua. Then Opa dengan tegas berseru ke Dopey "Dopey! Turun!" and he would talk to Dopey as if he understood him. He told Dopey that he might scare me. Dan Dopey langsung menunduk seakan menyesal.
"Wanda kaget ya?"
Aku mengangguk.
"Dopey ga maksud apa-apa kok. Dia loncat karena dia sayang pa Wanda."
And when I heard his voice, a warmth feeling occurs him. There's something in the way he talks.. That gives me comfort.

Padahal udah lewat tengah malam, tapi Opa tetap aja buka praktek. It's like a 24/7 clinic. He wouldn't close it until there were no patients left. Biaya pengobatan pun murah meriah. Kalau misalnya pasiennya itu ga bawa duit, he would give it up for free. But I'm sure a nice patient would come the next day to pay him right? No one would ever have the heart to do such a mean thing to my dearest Opa!

In fact, I am one of his patient! Opa kan dokter anak, so it really does come in handy. Satu kali dada kiri ku serasa sakit sekali. Back then I was still a little girl, I didn't have what people refer to as boobs these days. Aku pasti selalu ngadu ke Mama kalau sakit, and Mom will tell me to go to Opa. So he checked me and then he said to me, "Ini baru mau tumbuh Wanda. Hati-hati aja kalau jalan. Jangan sampe ketabrak barang-barang ya."
Sayangnya, karena aku masih kecil, aku belum terbiasa hati-hati. Sepanjang hari yang kurasakan tabrakan. Ntah dari pintu, meja, lemari.. semua benda keras menghantamku. O how cruel.

I love the way he talked. So warm and gentle. Tapi ga cuma Opa, aku juga senang kalau bicara soal Oma. I guess the best thing about having grandparents is that they will always tell you stories about their life, and they would always give the best advice.

And guess what? 4 hari lagi Opa genap 90 tahun.

Right now, Opa is living in my aunt's house. While Oma passed away years ago. It was a very sorrowful day for the whole Tumbelaka and Mononoetoe fam.

And although it's almost impossible, seeing his condition this day, aku berharap aku masih sempat mengambil waktu berdua dengan Opa. Just the two of us. Cause I really wanna tell him my stories. They say the elders need company. and that's all I can really offer.

I hope someday.

Please grant me that day, Lord.

Video Geng SMP : Food Family

(Fettucini, Toge, Spaghetti, Dim Sum)

Yes, that's me with the gloomy face. We were trying to copy the poster behind us.

And I just remember I used to have the coolest gang in Junior High. Meet the Food Family.

Honestly, I don't remember how we came up to those "food" ideas, and how we got those nicknames.

Aaah those days were beautiful... and stupid. Prasidina kemarin Vebry a.k.a Toge baru ngirim video aku nyanyi lagu Fergalicious trus Vebry & Yana nari-nari, sementara Ghali jadi camera man.

And I honestly don't remember the purpose of this video also.

Yana laugh the hardest, Vebry was a devoted dancer (can't you see the fire in her when she dance?)
Oh how we love our grandma Toge.

Prasidina 11 April & The Fact About Farewell

Minggu malam kemarin, diadain Prasidina di RCC pukul 19.00 - 23.00. Prasidina itu acara perpisahan kelas 3 yang juga dihadiri oleh orang tua, guru, dan beberapa orang Yayasan juga diramaikan oleh paduan suara (though Duri's choir is much more amusing, kata Siska paduan suaranya diiringi sama Sax, Piano, Trompet.. such a wow). It's like a tradition. There's always a Prasidina every year in Cendana.

Susunan acaranya? Kata sambutan, Paduan suara, pidato, paduan suara, pidato, paduan suara, akustik, pengumuman siswa berprestasi akademis & non-akademis, paduan suara, pidato, paduan suara.. aku bener udah ga ingat brapa kali pidato dan paduan suara, so I'm just writing it dramatically. Pretty boring huh? Except if you're one of those smart and lucky students going up on the stage to get some achievements from the school.

1. instead of paying attention to the preacher,
we took pictures on our seats
2. sampe orang blakang-blakang pun sadar kamera

But the last part, was kinda entertaining. In fact, I find it exciting rather than... sad. Setelah salam-salaman sama guru, us students get to hug each other, wishing for luck, bid farewell... and yeah most of them cried. I feel a bit bad laughing loudly in those sorrowful crowd, but I didn't feel the smallest will to cry. No, it's not like I'm heartless and I'd totally be happy leaving than to stay here in this school with the same faces I've seen for 12 years of education. Maybe, it's because I'm ready to face this way before they did.

What?

All of my best friends went to Java. Well, one went to Duri, but mostly Java. 1 in Solo, 2 in Jogja, 1 in Jakarta (and I don't really know if she's still there or not). I'm really used to farewell, and although I miss them.. A LOT.. there's no more point of crying over their departure anymore. Being apart is only a test. A test whether or not our friendship has a strong bond. Whether or not we are worth to be called as "true friends".
In fact, I still contact my friends. Every once in a while. We're still sharing, we're still on the track with each other.

Though crying in farewells are a common thing. But truth is, some people cried because they weren't ready to face it, so fast and sudden. Overall people cried in farewell cause they were surprised. It's the whole High School thing they didn't want to end. They don't really cry cause they won't be seeing each other anymore. Cause fact is, they could still keep in touch with each other. Like DUH that's what I've been doing with my closest friends. Being apart isn't so hard after all when there are social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Skype, etc. Guess that's what technologies are for.

Hahaha.. It's funny that I actually wrote these stuff when last night I cried also. Not at the farewell, AFTER the farewell. I don't know, I'm still not too ready to leave my loved one here. But I know I have to face it.

After all it's just a test. Whether or not we have the same strong feeling.
True friends don't come easily, so is true love.

Song of the Day : Can't Take It In

Can't Take It In

Can't close my eyes
they're wide awake
Every hair on my body
has got a thing for this place
Oh empty my heart
I've got to make room for this feeling
So much bigger than me

It couldn't be anymore beautiful
I can't take it in

Weightless in love.. Unraveling
For all that's took out
And all of that's ever been
We're back to the board
With every shade under the sun
Let's make it a good one

It couldn't be anymore beautiful
I can't take it in

All that I wanted
All that I ever needed
All that I wanted
So beautiful

-Imogen Heap

Somehow, every time I listen to this song, I warm and peaceful feeling occurs me. Cause I had felt that. That beautiful enormous feeling..

I can feel You right here in my heart, J.

A Good Day

I just had a great time.

Aaaaw Sisky, kenapa pertemuan kita serasa bentar skali?

Me and Siska brusaha tampil beda

(...and i've got to say, diantara smua foto2 aku dan siska, ini lah yang paling normal.)

Jealousy Strikes at Midnight

Round round there goes
the needles on the clock
As I scroll down the mouse
til it was stuck to a block

Eenie meenie miny mo
they tag a photo to your wall
Then I went
Eenie meenie miny mo
there comes the spot from my mouth

Yes, drive me mad
I wonder if it's necessary
Jealousy jealousy
I knew that it was necessary
though
as I at look the time
look at the clock
it's 30 minutes to midnight

Oh baby please
Text me call me beg me
I want you please
bow down to me
Cause i ain't talking
I ain't stalking
No i think it's a common thing

Round round there goes
the needles on the clock
As I lay on my bed
Wondering what will charge ahead
